What you need to know about the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join the Intel Operations division of the Cyber Threat Intelligence team at PayPal. The position’s primary responsibilities will be to collect and analyze raw intelligence at scale, and synthesize various intelligence products from analysis results.

Job Description:

Your way to impact

Provide operational support to critical security incident responders.
Inform and advise corporate leadership and strategic partners on ongoing and emerging high priority threats.
Research and profile threat actor groups targeting the company to help develop defensive strategies used by product and security teams.

Your day to day

Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence from various sources, including open-source intelligence, internal logs, and external feeds
Create actionable profiles of identified threat actor groups
Identify, assess, and prioritize potential threats and vulnerabilities based on intelligence analysis
Produce intelligence reports and briefings to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with internal partners to develop and maintain intelligence requirements
Conduct research on emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors
Continually evaluate the effectiveness of existing intelligence sources and identify new sources to close collection gaps
Contribute to the development and refinement of threat intelligence processes, procedures, and standards.
Support incident response activities by providing real-time intelligence.

What do you need to bring

8+ years of Cyber incident response experience.
Diamond model and kill chain analysis experience.
Knowledge of network protocols, enterprise systems, and modern defensive controls.
Basic scripting and process automation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
