Sr Program Manager – New Programs and Initiatives - I Have Space (IHS) & AmFlex, India Transportation Last Mile

At Amazon Logistics, we are building a world-class last mile operation, significantly complimented by our delivery services- I Have Space (IHS) and Amazon Flex. While IHS is a business opportunity in which a local store owner can partner with Amazon and provide delivery service in neighborhood areas and can earn additional income, Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors, called delivery partners, to make deliveries to our customers. With this model, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Both programs are powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems.

We are continuing to build a high paced and lean India team to implement and expand our last mile capabilities across key segments of IN Transportation. Amazon is now looking to hire an experienced, passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and (most importantly) customer-obsessed program manager. We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager in India to help establish Amazon Transportation’s last mile delivery as the preferred provider in this specific space. Internally, this leader will work directly with functions that cut across the organization, including technology, transportation, operations and customer service, to drive a great customer experience for our program.

The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys and excels at dealing with ambiguity and design and define programs with little information. He/she will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to create and sustain urgency, and a proven ability to lead large cross-functional projects including communication across all levels and teams in the organization: senior leaders, technical teams, finance, fulfillment, and business leaders.

Key job responsibilities
- Define, design, launch and manage new transportation related programs in India.
- Gather requirements and conceptualize a transportation solution to solve a business problem.
- Work with key stake holders across various functions to define and launch a program.
- Program-manage technical integration with Amazon systems across retail, merchant, transportation operations and finance technologies and setup end-to-end operational, accounting, and financial, taxation requirements, and performance measurement and customer satisfaction related processes.
- Launch and expand the program as per Amazon’s requirements while being responsible for all customer and merchant satisfaction, performance, compliance, accounting and financial related metrics.
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
