Job Description

Alexa is the voice activated digital assistant powering devices like Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, and Fire TV, which are at the forefront of this latest technology wave. To preserve our customers’ experience and trust, the Alexa Sensitive Content Intelligence (ASCI) team creates policies and builds services and tools through Machine Learning techniques to detect and mitigate sensitive content across Alexa. In this role, you will work on essential back-end operations that help maintain the quality and accuracy of our AI initiatives. This role involves basic data tasks, such as creating, reviewing, and managing test data sets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, willing to learn, and ready to contribute to the smooth operation of our team’s day-to-day tasks.

Key job responsibilities
Device Associates at Amazon Alexa tests cutting edge applications and products at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Device Associates at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks of test case execution from start to completion with minimal help. Device Associates would be responsible for understanding the product in detail, and updating the test case tool with test execution results.

- Excellent proficiency in English language, both verbal and written skills
- Comfortable working with speech from various dialects and accents
- Execute a predefined set of instructions prepared for testing Software builds on prescribed platform and software products
- Perform test instruction execution and report deviations accurately
- Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new builds / releases
- Perform regression, Build Acceptance Testing, Bug Bashes/Adhoc Testing and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising on quality
- Use software tools for data capture and comply with the processes of the organization on a daily basis
- Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing individual status reports and adhering to Productivity and Quality base lines.
- Raising all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and closing the same as per the SLA’s
- Own the daily targets against internal and external dependencies.
- Should be able to deal with ambiguity
- Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
