Job Description

Oracle’s Global Tax Audit Organization plays a crucial role in managing the fast-tracking of the pending audits across the globe and increased scrutiny from the tax department cross countries. Oracle is seeing substantial increase in scrutiny by the Tax Departments across globe owing to stricter rules and implementation of tax laws to raise tax demands. Effective management of the audits reduces the chances of litigation and underlines the importance of this role. This position requires in depth knowledge of the tax regulations as well as functioning of tax departments across globe to ensure that Oracle's tax positions are represented and defended fairly, accurately and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions before the tax authorities in addition to the softer side of interpersonal skills with the ability to lead Tax Audit negotiations. The role also involves supporting the controversy organization of Oracle to effectively manage the ongoing tax litigations by gathering required facts and establishing the truth and justice position of Oracle in light of the relevant tax legislations across the globe. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in global taxation, including international tax laws, transfer pricing, and cross-border taxation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting managing the substantive Global Tax Audit projects (Us and non-US) and supporting tax litigation cases. He/she must also demonstrate strategic thinking with the ability to align tax strategies with business goals, manage tax risks. Strong communication skills are essential, as the individual will need to present complex tax matters to senior management and liaise with tax authorities.
