Job Description

OUR MISSION:

We will deliver Solution Engineering Presales Services to our customers via video conference, telephone, web conference, and other interactive digital tools with an aim to secure Oracle solution selection through a preeminent engagement with our customers. We will work with Oracle sales representatives, in-country solution engineers, and partners to drive the sales of Oracle Cloud Platform (PaaS & IaaS) solutions.
We will provide presales support to grow Oracle’s Cloud Platform (PaaS & IaaS) business around Analytics, Data Management, Mobile Applications, Bots, Next-Gen Application Development, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Blockchain, Cyber Security and many other exciting technology trends that interest us all.

In short, we aspire to build and sell new and innovative technology solutions for real-world problems that our customers face. And so, we are seeking people who share that spirit of using and selling technology to innovate and solve complex business problems using the Oracle Cloud Platform.

YOUR ROLE AS AN ORACLE CLOUD SOLUTION ENGINEER:

As a solution engineer, you will get a unique opportunity to blend your technical skills on the cloud with analytical problem-solving and consultative selling skills. You will be expected to work directly with members of the sales team on key selling activities including (but not limited to):

Discovery of the customer problems
Solution Design & Architecture
Proposal Preparation
Building Repeatable Cloud Solution Demonstrations
Performing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Technology (POTs) with clients
Delivering hands-on cloud computing workshops

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Technology Skills:

Deep understanding of Public Cloud Solutions & IT market trends driving cloud demand such as Analytics, Data Management, Big Data, Next-Gen Application Development, Security & Manageability, Enterprise Integration & APIs, Content Management & UX, etc.
Understanding of Cloud Solution Design and Architectures
Experience in hands-on work with any industry-leading Oracle Cloud solutions.
Experience in developing, deploying, or migrating business applications to oracle cloud
A fundamental understanding of DevOps would be an advantage
Knowledge of Oracle technology solutions (database and middleware) would be an advantage
Experience of a customer-facing role (e.g. presales or technical support role) would be an advantage

Customer Engagement Skills:

Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex messages very clearly.
Openness to work with different languages & cultures
Ability to work in virtual teams: To get a specific job done can require working together with many colleagues, partners and customers
Self-motivated: Need to have a natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
Team Player
Agile and happy to continually adapt to change
Always looking to raise the bar of own skills/competencies development
Comfortable in delivering presentations in person and remotely
Work experience in a similar (presales or technical) role is an advantage

Business Skills:

Bachelors or Master’s degree
Value selling & commercial skills are an advantage
Excellent understanding of Customer’s business challenges & needs
Project Management Skills are an advantage
