Your Role and Responsibilities The role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework, defining data strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring data quality, compliance, and security, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish clear data ownership and usage policies across the organization. Key responsibilities include designing data governance policies, managing data access controls, monitoring data quality, and driving a data-driven culture within the company.
Data Strategy Development:
Define and articulate a clear data strategy aligned with business goals, including data collection, storage, access, and utilization plans.
Develop a data roadmap outlining key initiatives, investments, and timelines to achieve data strategy objectives.
Assess current data landscape, identify data gaps, and prioritize data improvement areas.
Data Governance Framework Implementation:
Design and implement a robust data governance framework with clear policies, standards, and procedures for data management.
Establish data ownership and stewardship roles, assigning accountability for data quality and compliance.
Develop data quality metrics and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Data Access and Security:
Manage data access controls and user permissions to safeguard sensitive data.
Implement data encryption and privacy measures to comply with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
Conduct regular data risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Data Quality Management:
Define data quality standards and implement data cleansing processes to improve data accuracy.
Monitor data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and execute data quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business leaders, data analysts, IT teams, and legal departments to ensure alignment with data strategy and governance policies.
Educate stakeholders on data governance practices, data quality expectations, and data privacy regulations.
Facilitate data governance training programs for key personnel.
You will be playing the client partner role for ISA Clients.
You will be the SPOC for Clients for delivering large engagements with Data and business process transformations
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Certified EDMC - DCAM or DAMA Certified
Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance frameworks
Expertise in data modelling, data warehousing, and data integration technologies
Experience with data analytics tools and techniques
Knowledge of relevant data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change within an organization
India Market experience
Prominent Data Governance tools
Any MDM tool, Collibra, Talend, Alation, Apache Atlan, Informatica Data Governance
