Investment Mangement IT (IMIT)

IMIT provides industry-leading strategies and solutions to enable business growth and deliver “best in class” functions to Morgan Stanley’s Investment Management business.

Department Profile:
As part of the Firm's growing program of work, the Investment Management Technology (IMT) is seeking a developer to join our regulatory reporting IT team in India. This is a great opportunity for an experienced developer to join a professional development team, working on the strategic IM reporting platform and delivering regulatory reporting obligations. You will be working on the full application lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-stakes agile development environment, by partnering with global IT and business stakeholders of the current platform to analyse requirements, design and build solutions to support the evolving regulatory reporting environment.

The right candidate

Has in-depth understanding of the full software development life cycle. Deep familiarity with modern software development and design concepts encompassing a range of languages and platforms.
Can own small to medium scale strategic initiatives/projects, enhances process standards and best practices and supports issues for currently live systems.
Understands business needs and priorities, and provides thought leadership on potential solutions and the opportunities for technology to create positive impact on the business.
Has excellent analytical and problem solving skills that are coupled with strong communication, anticipates issues and deals with them proactively.
Is team oriented, highly collaborative, works effectively to build strong long term partnerships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across a variety of business and IT functions.
Self-sufficient and shows ability to lead, given the opportunity
Demonstrates a passion for technology innovation balanced with a pragmatic approach to developing and deploying solutions that best benefit the business.
Nimble, adaptable, able to express ideas in meetings & design discussions, comfortable with ambiguity; course correct when circumstances change.

Skill Required:

3-6 years of relevant experience
Database/SQL
Core Java
REST services
Spring Boot
Web services (SOAP)
UNIX/LINUX
Working knowledge of scripting languages
Crystal reports/Excel Writer/Aspose
Team oriented and can work well within a global collaborative model
Be comfortable expressing ideas in meetings, design sessions, etc.
Good analytical and problem solving skills that are coupled with strong communication.
