Department Profile

The Wealth Management Senior Investor Oversight Group is a team within the Wealth Management Core Financial Advisor Surveillance and Risk Management unit. The team is responsible for reviewing, responding, and assisting field risk in mitigating matters regarding potential senior or vulnerable elder abuse, financial exploitation and/or diminished capacity. The candidate should be familiar with the financial services industry business practices. The candidate will collaborate closely with Wealth Management Field Risk, Fraud Operations and Client Services to coordinate action steps to mitigate client and firm risk. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities

Review and action high risk alerts, indications of risk, and ad hoc data sets to identify potential concerns of senior or vulnerable adult financial exploitation, diminished capacity, or other concerns affecting Morgan Stanley's senior or vulnerable clients.
Escalate events and collaborating with Risk and Fraud to mitigate risks.
Report and notify events of exploitation.
Analyze, gather, and format complex date sets.

Qualifications -

- 3+ years' experience in the financial industry or consultancy space.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Brokerage and Bank business and the various lines of business.
- Ability to work well with colleagues across a diverse range of working groups in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, VISIO
- Excellent problem-solving and business judgment.
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
