Annuities and Insurance Central Review Unit – Risk Analyst

Morgan Stanley is currently seeking candidates for a non-RP24 Risk Analyst (RA) position(s) to join the Annuities and Insurance Central Review Unit (AICRU) sister team being established in Mumbai. The onshore AICRU Risk Principals headquartered in New York, retain sole RP24 product/kyc suitability/appropriateness and final supervisory review and approval responsibility. This non-RP24 RA role(s) will be in Mumbai and will support the state-side AICRU and report to the Mumbai AVP. In this capacity, the RA(s) will work closely with their peers in the AICRU, interact regularly via email with Financial Advisors (FAs) and occasionally interact with Risk Officers, Sales Teams and colleagues in Operations.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

· Performing reviews of required Morgan Stanley and State specific Annuity paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness with proper signatures and dates.

· Cross referencing submitted documents with the order ticket to ensure all required documents have been obtained.

· In cases where documents are in good order, approving those documents.

· In cases where documents are not in good order, effectively reaching out to and communicating with FAs to provide guidance and steps to remediate.

· Ensuring enough cash is available in clients’ accounts to cover the purchase, where applicable. If not, emailing the FA(s) cc’ing the AICRU Risk Principal, cash is needed.

· Being able to effectively identify an AICRU Risk Principal by user ID.

· Being able to effectively communicate and relay to AICRU, any documents that are reviewed and actioned through TEAMS

· Identify and escalate any issue or irregularity to the designated RP and Manager

Qualifications – External

Prior Risk, Compliance, Audit or Sales experience in Annuities and Life Insurance and/or branch supervision a plus.
Excellent analytical ability.
Ability to consistently demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational, planning and time management skills to
Ability to triage competing priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to follow specific directions and function independently or as part of a team.

Required Education and Licenses:

· Undergraduate Degree

· Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

· Proficiency with Adobe Suite
