Job Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Associate in Global Banking Services team in Mumbai. They are responsible to perform the full front to back process of opening and closing external bank accounts within the Asia / EMEA and US regions.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Team Specialist position at Associate level within within Core Services, which is responsible for managing the timely and accurate processing of corporate events, which effect security positions and entitlements held by our clients and proprietary trading desks.

What you'll do in the role:

•   Perform the front to back account opening and closing process for all markets globally.
•   Work with Internal Morgan Stanley Teams to complete the account opening requirements – including Legal, Global Network Management, Compliance and a variety of Business Units.
•   Manage the Morgan Stanley Signatory requests for Account Opening and Closing Documentation.
•   Understand Regulatory requirements in relation to account opening and closing (including KYC, AML etc.)
•   Ensure continued adherence from agent banks against agreed account opening & closure SLA for each market.
•   Partnership with a range of key areas, including Compliance, ORRC Client Money, Listed Derivatives, Cash Management, Global Network Management teams.
•   Ongoing timely and accurate escalation to keep Managers updated on progress.
•   Project Management: manage high focus account opening / closure requests on the back of key deliverables.
•   Ensuring the sustainability of the LEAN culture within the team, and continuing to strive to seek out operational efficiencies.
•   Subject Matter Expertise: develop current and in-depth knowledge of global markets, account opening requirements and pre-investment information.
•   Annual review and update of desktop procedures and supervisory procedures.
•   Creation and distribution of Daily / Weekly and Monthly Reporting and Metrics.
•   Knowledge of Microsoft Power tools will be an added advantage.

•   The successful candidate will be a graduate with at least 2 years relevant work experience
•   Sound understanding of operations
