Job Description

• Understand various business scenarios and translate them into GTS business logic.
• Provide guidance on business process improvements related to SAP GTS and trade compliance initiatives.
• Lead SAP GTS solution design activities for trade compliance areas, including import/export management, embargo checks, customs declarations, and compliance reporting and intrastat.
• Identify source system processes that require data and process changes at the source to enhance trade compliance.
• Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, execute testing (Unit Testing, System Integration Testing), support user acceptance testing (UAT), review test results, and assist in defect resolution.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of complex business process requirements related to global trade and compliance.
• Manage SAP GTS projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Stay current with technology trends and their impact on global trade, functional areas, industries, and the value proposition for clients in transitioning to new technologies.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and a consulting mindset.
• Demonstrate a track record of success in contributing to team-oriented environments with multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects for GTS in S/4HANA or ECC systems.
• Possess strong leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies.

Primary Skills

• Lead SAP advisory consulting engagements in Global Trade Services and compliance.
• Possess a clear understanding of various global trade scenarios and their application in projects.
• Oversee SAP GTS consulting projects during implementation and rollout, with expertise in SAP cross-functional areas.
• Conduct research to identify and resolve cross-functional or production issues in global trade and collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical details into user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Work independently to address complex issues, propose alternative solutions, perform quality assurance (e.g., peer reviews), and implement high-quality applications and associated documentation while adhering to SAP methodologies such as Agile.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a global team and end-users.
• Prepare documents and presentations in accordance with Capgemini and customer standards.
• Coordinate and oversee all project phases, including estimation, component selection, design, and post-implementation support.
• Manage consulting teams and may work as an individual contributor.

Secondary Skills

• Strong exposure to global trade and compliance, including import/export regulations and trade agreements.
• Familiarity with core international trade processes and the latest trends in the industry, including trade sanctions, tariff management, and trade preference management.
• Preferably hold certifications related to SAP GTS.
• 4-13 years in the industry.
• BE/BTech, MBA (preferred).
