About the Team:
Equity Derivatives IT (EQD IT) team is a global team responsible for the definition and delivery of Equity Derivatives systems across HSBC.
The Equity Derivatives IT department is organized by services (Post-Trade, Pricing and Analytics, Common Services, FO Tools, regulatory, Risk and P&L) and teams are distributed across the 5 locations (Pune, Paris, Hong-Kong, Guangzhou London and New-York).
As part of the department strategy, EQD IT is changing its organizational model to cater to changing business needs and renovating the platform to adapt the latest and best technologies to cater to everchallenging market of equity derivatives.

Purpose of the Job:
We are looking for a Full stack Java Developer to be part of the EQD team in Pune. The job requires candidate to have design thinking and problem-solving skills. Candidate should demonstrate ability to build scalable architecture led solution and clear communication skills in geographically spread multi-cultural environment.
Responsible For: Designing and implementing end to end, scalable, fault tolerant solution based on microservices based and cloud ready architecture.

Major Challenges:

Building an event based, high-throughput, scalable, extendible and supportable services on a strategic trading and risk management platform
Collaborating with multiple teams across geographies
Following strict agile practices with result oriented approach
ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Experience, skills, competencies etc)

B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.S degree with 10+ years of IT experience
Esential skills:
Java 11 or higher, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, REST API, Mongo DB/ Any other NoSQL Database
Microservices Architecture, Linux
Clear and concise communication
Adaptable to work with teams from different geographies, understand the thought process and able to progress collaboratively
Proficient with scrum, sprint ceremonies, git, JIRA, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven etc.
Working experience in investment banking would be preferable. Good to have skills (Experience, skills, competencies etc)
Docker, Kubernetes and cloud technology
Spring Security
Solace/Kafka for Messaging Communcation.
