DevOps Engineer
Job Description
This job manages the back-end services for VBG public websites which run on the Amazon Web Services platform
Non-technical requirements:
- Independent self starter - someone who can take direction/requirements and make decisions as to the best method to build.
- Communications skills - this person will need to groom requests for new builds with internal clients and understand how to turn marketing requests into efficient applications/website code.
- Troubleshooting - person needs to be able to troubleshoot errors, whether they be server-side or code-base related.
- Availability to be on-call with a stable internet connection
5 years minimum required:
- AWS S3 and overlaid applications
- Next.js, Node.js, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, React.js
- GitHub (or GitLab/BitBucket) and Jira (or Jira-like application)
3 years minimum required:
- Contentstack CMS (or relevant experience with a MACH CMS)
- Non-SQL databases (Mongo, Redis, etc)
- Web performance tools (New Relic, Lighthouse, GTmetrix, etc)
Nice to have:
- AWS EC2 and IAM
- GitHub administration
- Disaster recovery procedures and troubleshooting
- Security software - ZAP, Tenable required
- Catchpoint or other monitoring software
