Environment Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
This job plays a crucial role in the following key activities:
Test Environment Activities
Manage Test Environment Usage requests - special use requests to be in an environment outside of standard uses/times; coordinate any meetings to discuss conflicts and ensure proper communication; utilize knowledge of our test regions to provide solutions when the requested solution will not work to allow teams to meet testing deadlines
Process special requests for data refreshes outside standard windows to accommodate special testing needs; be available for emergency refresh requests if needed during standard EST hours
IBC Test ticket escalations (response within 15 min of receiving request, support during EST hours), sending daily status of all open test tickets (status is expected at the end of each day); MN ticket escalations but no daily status of tickets is sent
Creation and maintenance of 2 key calendars showing time frames for test regions, database related windows and Test Cycle Management timelines for each release.
Maintain and create all documentation as well as training modules (in MyLearning) as it relates to test region usage
Skillsets:
Operating Systems:
Solid understanding of a highly complex, multi-environment, fast paced ecosystem
Understanding of multi-tooling not limited to Mainframe, Distributed development tools, Pega, Open Systems and Phire
Familiar with DB2, IMS, Oracle, SQL and Postgre SQL.
Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems is fundamental.
Scripting:
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ruby is highly beneficial. These skills allow you to automate tasks, create tools, and interact with systems programmatically.
Understanding version control systems like Git for managing script versions and collaborating with others is important.
Cloud Computing:
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is becoming increasingly important. Many organizations leverage cloud infrastructure for test environments, so understanding these platforms can be a significant advantage.
Additional Desirable Skills:
Gitlab knowledge is a plus
Good understanding of Agile methodologies and development lifecycles is beneficial for effective collaboration with development teams.
Previous experience as a scrum master a plus
Knowledge of Agility for tracking features and stories a plus
Good communication skills
Previous experience with coordinating builds out of test regions
Mandatory to work in shift till 3.30am IST(from 6.30pm IST). Work in Hybrid is provided.
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Master of Computer Applications, or related field
EXPERIENCE
Required
6 - 10 years' experience
Preferred
1- 2 years in the Health Insurance Industry
