Job Description

We are looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher who has recent digital consumer experience with the AEM product suite, including Sites and Assets.

Role Summary:
This job will guide and conduct a range of research methodologies, providing insights and learnings that will digitally transform healthcare and help our members live their best lives. Will focus on the creation,
execution, and advocacy of user research and recommendations that support digital product strategies for Highmark Health.
Essential Responsibilities:

Manage and conduct research studies at all stages from discovery to validation, working
independently with a variety of mixed methods approaches to gain a holistic product view,
and advocate for actionable insights in a clear and compelling way, creating artifacts to
distribute your research across various teams.

Use research findings to inform a strong point of view for decision-making by leveraging
qualitative and quantitative insights to gauge the usability, accessibility, and trustworthiness
of an experience. Craft recommendations based on gleaned insights to ensure that the
organization's digital experiences are data driven and user centered.
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a design related field
Substitutions
6 years of design and/or research experience (qualitative or quantitative)
Preferred
Master's degree in relevant discipline

EXPERIENCE
Required
5 years of independently conducting all stages of the research process (designing studies,
launching tests, moderating, synthesis/analysis, and reporting)
5 years of conducting UX research in an agile product development and/or hybrid remote
working environment
5 years of facilitation, collaboration, and consensus-building skills, with experience in
presenting to cross-functional teams
Preferred
1 year in health care or other highly regulated industries; experience working on cross functional
product design and development teams

Strong knowledge of a wide range of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods
to support the design and development of digital products; demonstrated proficiency in a
variety of research approaches and when and how to apply them in different product phases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including storytelling); ability to draw
meaningful insights from research and explain them to designers, leaders, and other stakeholders in a persuasive and effective manner.
Empathetic, curious, open-minded with a desire to improve the lives of our users; passion
for educating team members on the value of research.
Advanced knowledge of current industry design and research tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch,
User Zoom, UserTesting.com)
Highly organized, self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects at once with little oversight and deliver high quality work on time in an Agile environment
