Job Description
ServiceNow Administrator
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including upgrades, patches, and
regular maintenance tasks.
Manage user roles, and access controls, and ensure data integrity across the platform.
Customize and configure the ServiceNow platform to meet organizational needs.
Implement and manage ITSM processes within ServiceNow, including Incident, Problem,
Change, and Request Management.
Configure and manage ITOM processes, including Service Mapping, Event Management,
and Orchestration.
Integrate ITOM modules with external monitoring tools to enhance event management and
service visibility.
Develop and maintain accurate service maps, ensuring that business services are correctly
reflected in the ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
Regularly update and audit service maps to ensure alignment with business processes and
service dependencies.
Set up and maintain Event Management processes, correlating events from various
monitoring tools and generating actionable alerts in ServiceNow.
Configure and maintain the ServiceNow Discovery tool to ensure accurate discovery of IT
assets and resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, with a focus on ITSM, ITOM, Service
Mapping, Event Management, and Discovery.
Hands-on experience with scripting in ServiceNow using JavaScript, Glide, and other
related technologies.
Experience in integrating ServiceNow with other IT management systems.
Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes and best practices.
Proficiency in configuring and managing ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event
Management.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
