Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop architectural solutions for mainframe applications that align with business goals and industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
Implement LeanIX as a tool for managing and optimizing enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business processes and IT strategies.
Analyze current mainframe systems and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept initiatives for new technologies and solutions.
Maintain documentation of architectural designs, standards, and best practices.
Participate in architecture review boards and contribute to strategic planning sessions.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to mainframe and enterprise architecture.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on mainframe technologies (e.g., COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS).
Experience with LeanIX or similar enterprise architecture tools.
Strong understanding of software development life cycles, integration patterns, and architectural frameworks.
Proven ability to analyze complex systems and design effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud migration strategies for mainframe applications.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools in the context of mainframe environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
