Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to oversee and manage the testing activities for our ETL processes and related systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ETL testing, SQL, and Python, as well as a solid background in test automation framework creation. You will be responsible for end-to-end test management, ensuring quality assurance processes are adhered to, and driving continuous improvement within the QA function.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and developers to understand project requirements.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of the test automation framework using Python.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into the continuous integration and deployment pipeline.
Develop reusable test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing.
Develop detailed Test Plans, Test Strategies, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases based on functional and technical requirements.
Refine and validate acceptance criteria with the business team.
Ensure test cases cover all functional, non-functional, integration, and performance requirements.
Oversee the execution of test cases, document test results, and provide feedback to development teams.
Track and manage defects, escalating high-priority issues to ensure timely resolution.
Generate and maintain test metrics, including defect trends, test coverage, and test progress, and present them in dashboard reports.
Establish and manage standardized QA processes, templates, dashboards, and metrics within Azure DevOps.
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance on best practices, technical challenges, and career development.
Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
Establish and promote QA standards and best practices to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
Coordinate with the Scrum team to ensure the timely delivery of testing artifacts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:
7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and testing with at least 2 years in a Test Lead role.
Strong hands-on experience with ETL testing, SQL, and Python.
Proven experience in creating test automation frameworks using Python.
Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps, including managing test plans, dashboards, and CI/CD integration.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in ETL tools and processes, including data validation and transformation testing.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation, querying, and manipulation.
Strong skills in Python for writing and maintaining automated tests.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Agile Experience:
Hands-on experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
Experience leading stand-up meetings, retrospectives, and sprint planning sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with performance testing and test automation tools like Pyspark, Selenium, Pytest, or similar.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
