Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power Apps Developer and Administrator with expertise in both development and administration of SQL-based Power Apps, as well as a solid understanding of the Power Platform, to support a critical migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating applications and environments from a PPD/CRG tenant to a ThermoFisher tenant. This role involves hands-on work with Power Apps environments, configurations, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless application deployment and post-migration support. You will work closely with the existing contractor to ensure a smooth transition during the overlap period.Key Responsibilities
Power Platform Migration Prepare and configure the Power Platform for migration between tenants, ensuring all components are ready for deployment in the new environment (ThermoFisher tenant).
Triage and Troubleshooting Address issues arising during migration and for migrated users, including troubleshooting Power Apps applications, particularly those utilizing SQL.
Application Deployment Deploy applications according to SDLC best practices across various environments (Development, Test, UAT, Production).
Environment Management Manage and configure Power Platform environments (Development, Test, UAT, Production) and related applications, ensuring seamless operations and access management using Azure AD.
Platform Administration Administer and configure Power Platform components, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, ensuring proper integration with Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint, Office 365, Excel Online, and other services.
SQL-Based Power Apps Triage and support SQL-based Power Apps, identifying and resolving issues related to data queries and app performance.
Power Platform Administration Console Manage the Power Platform Admin Console, overseeing environment settings, security, and data management for the Power Apps environments.
Documentation and Collaboration Create detailed documentation for migration processes, deployment procedures, and issue resolutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration and troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Power Apps Development & Administration Proven experience with Power Apps development, administration, and configuration. Solid understanding of the Power Platform.
SQL Expertise Strong skills in SQL, particularly in troubleshooting and optimizing SQL-based Power Apps.
Azure AD & Power Platform Pipelines Experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) user group management and pipelines for deployments.Dataverse & Integrations Familiarity with Dataverse, Power Apps connections (SQL, SharePoint, Office 365, Excel Online, etc.), and Flows.
Power Platform Admin Console Hands-on experience with the Power Platform Admin Console for environment and security management.
Migration Experience Experience with tenant migrations within the Power Platform or similar cloud-based systems is a plus.
Power BI Knowledge of Power BI is a plus, but not required.
Problem-Solving Strong ability to triage, debug, and resolve issues related to Power Apps and associated integrations.
Collaboration Communication Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
