Job Description

As an Azure Cloud Operations Engineer specializing in infrastructure activities, environment setup, and build-up, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our Azure cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that our Azure environments are efficiently set up, maintained, and optimized to support our business operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Build-Up Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure Azure infrastructure solutions to meet organizational needs. This includes provisioning and configuring virtual machines, storage accounts, networks, and other cloud resources.
Environment Setup Set up and configure Azure environments for development, testing, staging, and production. Ensure proper resource allocation, network configuration, and access controls are in place.
Automation Develop and deploy automation scripts and templates using Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure CLI, PowerShell, or Terraform to streamline infrastructure deployment and management.
Performance and Optimization Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure resources and services. Implement best practices for resource utilization, cost management, and scalability.
Security Management Implement and manage security controls and compliance policies within Azure environments. Ensure adherence to security standards and practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and network security.
Troubleshooting and Support Provide expert support for resolving infrastructure-related issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Documentation Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
Collaboration Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services. Provide guidance and support for infrastructure-related questions and issues.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience eight years of experience in cloud operations with a focus on Microsoft Azure, particularly in infrastructure setup and management.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure SQL Database.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure CLI.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure design principles, best practices, and cost management.
Familiarity with Azure security features and compliance requirements.
Problem-Solving Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Certifications Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in an Azure context.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
