Job Description

ESSENTIAL
Collaboration with developers and other roles such as SREs to plan design implement operationalize and problem solve workloads that use cloud infrastructure and platform services
Working in an infrastructure or application support team
Automation project experience
Securing automation platforms and automation workloads in collaboration with security teams
Familiarity or experience with DevOps DevSecOps and platform engineering
Agile practices such as scrums sprints customer journey mapping kanban backlogs
Proposing new standards addressing peer feedback and advocating improvement

PREFERRED
Understanding of software engineering principles source control versioning code reviews etc
Working in an environment that complies with HIPAA standards
Event based architectures and associated infrastructure patterns
Experience of working with specific technical teams: AI ML MLOps
Experience of where immutable infrastructure approaches have been used
Implementation of highly available systems using multi AZ and multiregion approaches
Skills and experience in the following technology areas
Experience with these automation platforms is essential Teraform
DevOps tools such as CI CD tools
Infrastructure as code approaches role specific automation tools and associated programming languages AWS CloudFormation Azure ARM Broadcom VMware ARIA Automation HashiCorp Terraform OpenTofu Progress Chef Perforce Puppet Pulumi
Orchestration tools Cloudify env0 Morpheus Data Pliant RackN Scalr Spacelift Terraform for Cloud VMware Aria
Cloud provider services AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform regional providers
Knowledge of software development frameworks languages Python
Container management Azure Kubernetes Service AKS Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service EKS Docker Google Kubernetes Engine GKE Kubernetes Rancher Red Hat OpenShift RHOS VMware Tanzu
Operating systems Windows and Linux including scripting experience
Database technologies and caching Microsoft SQL Server NoSQL Postgres Redis content delivery networks
Identity and access management Active Directory Azure Active Directory Group Policy single sign on SSO cloud role based access control RBAC and hierarchy and federation
Monitoring tools AWS CloudWatch Datadog Elastic Stack Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana LogicMonitor Splunk
Scalable architectures including APIs microservices and PaaS
Implementing resilience eg multi AZ multiregion backup and recovery tools
Working with architecture tools and associated artifacts
General skills behaviors competencies and experience required include
Strong communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to adapt style to a nontechnical audience
Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure

Job Requirements
Education and Qualifications
Essential
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science information systems or a related field or equivalent work experience
Five or more years of related experience in similar roles
