· Define the roadmap and phase-wise action plan for reducing compliances burden in terms of Acts/ Regulations/ Rules etc.

· Compile the agenda items/ information provided by DPIIT/ NITI Aayog regarding reduction in regulatory compliances burden in Meghalaya.

· Identification of compliances to be Repealed/ Already repealed/ To be subsumed or merged within another compliance/ will remain applicable in the state.

· Identification of concerned departments in Meghalaya to be mapped with the existing Acts/ Regulations/ Rules etc.

· Organize one on one meetings with these concerned departments to evaluate the applicability of compliances in the state of Meghalaya.

· Assist Nodal department in formulating the Task Force at State Level to monitor the performance of reduction into compliances burden process.

· Assist Nodal department in preparing the strategy for minimizing burdensome regulatory compliances through identifying the renewals of licenses to be eliminated or based on auto renewals; identify risk based or third party-based inspection, identifying simplification required into return/filings applications; rationalization into maintaining registers & records and in minimizing the display requirements.

· Identify technology gaps / challenges that can help departments digitize their operations/ services to better serve the citizens and improved government to business experience.

· Provide suggestion to concerned departments in undertaking government process re-engineering initiative to optimize the government processes and service delivery model to enhance operational efficiency in administration and service delivery.

· Preparation of presentations/action taken/compliances report to be shared with office of Cabinet Secretary/NITI Aayog/PMO/NEC/DPIIT as part of the engagement.

· Interacting and/ or coordinating interactions with concerned departments/stakeholders.

· Identify and suggest latest technologies / tools / solutions that can help departments / regulators digitize their operations/ services thereby help them operate efficiently and effectively, optimizing inspection and enforcement efforts leading to an improved user experience.
