Software Development Manager
Job Description
Manage a team that design, develop, troubleshoots, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. Good to have knowledge of Java Basic, Spring Boot, Microservice, Understanding of DevOps. Gather requirements to determine the scope of work and plan for on-time delivery.Ability to work self-sufficiently on assigned time-sensitive tasks.Develop and maintain good relationships with peers and clients, and provide timely feedback to encourage success.Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills both in written and verbal correspondence.Ability to learn and adapt to changing landscape and acquire new skills with technology advancement and to work, and coordinate with global teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
- 6-10+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems.
- At least 4 years of prior management and/or team leadership experience.
- Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements.
- Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers.
- May interact with senior management.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
- Software development background in cloud native ecosystem - cloud platforms, microservices design and deployment patterns, container technologies, CICD, observability/monitoring, build and configuration tools, multi-tenant architecture etc.
- Experience to write code in Java.
- Experience with application development using micro services frameworks such as Spring, SpringBoot etc.
- Experience with any public cloud service.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
