As a Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Engineering you will be part of the CI/CD Engineering Team of Cloud that manages core Test capabilities to enable Application teams to build and test modern applications.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Responsible for leading an engineering team within the CI/CD test engineering team responsible for test tools platforms and driving the engineering efforts around the test tools integrations with CI/CD toolchain.

Responsibilities

Work with the engineering director and lead a scrum team of engineers working closely with the global engineering teams around building test tool capabilities for American Express Developer in an Agile model.
Manage a local Scrum team in collaboration with global Engineering and product organization.
Work with the engineering director and collaborate with global Product, Engineering and Ops teams to build, prune, and execute the roadmap to the Organizational goals.
Develop and maintain a high caliber team that can design and develop high quality products for American Express
Partner locally with local AET (American Express Technology) teams to guide and assist in design and develop modern application architectures.
Liaise effectively with the product teams and establish highly collaborative, productive, partnerships with stakeholders.
Keep up with the latest industry research and emerging technologies to ensure we are appropriately leveraging new techniques and capabilities.
Ensure product releases are high quality, deliver excellent user experiences, perform seamlessly at scale, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Proven engineering delivery experience working with global teams.
Understanding of Cloud native principles and microservices application architectures
Experience with Testing tools like Sauce labs etc. and good understanding of Testing frameworks like serenity, karate etc.
Experience in building and architecting API driven platforms with good understanding of application development languages/platforms (Java, .NET, Go, Python, etc.)
Must have experience of Kubernetes, Openshift, infra as code frameworks, API Gateways, CI/CD tools, Cloud Native application architectures, and various public cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure
Professional Certifications in Public Cloud and/or CNCF related technologies plus.
Excellent understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) tools and processes (Example: Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)
Thorough understanding of Agile principles and processes
Passion and drive for quality of Software and Infrastructure products
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related science discipline or relevant experience.
