Center for International Compliance Operations (CICO) is a ~100 member team based in Gurgaon. The team provides compliance operations support to AXP international market compliance officers. CICO is looking for a Vice President, to drive transformational growth of this team in providing operational support to Compliance teams globally.

The Vice President - CICO will be responsible for the following:

Lead a team of over 100 talented colleagues specializing in compliance, operations, control testing, and data analytics.
Accountable for delivery of all activities to the defined requirements of the markets and Compliance teams (MCO or LOBCO) that CICO supports. Ensure world class operational efficiency – develop operational standards, SLAs and measure delivery to give management assurance of delivery of work contracted to CICO. Ensure best in class documentation of inter-company agreements, chargeouts, policies, procedures, test script libraries, PRSAs for work conducted by CICO.
Develop growth strategy for CICO - products, services, plan roadshows, gain stakeholder confidence and alignment. Define long range strategy. Exceed internal customer’s expectations, anticipate changing needs, identify opportunities - strategize and execute with agility. Strategize use of AI/ML techniques to automate processes, lead development of solutions and deliver with agility. Engage compliance leaders to achieve expansion of CICO’s services to AXP US
Accountable for managing the CICO P&L within annual budget, including ensuring effective monthly reconciliation of headcount and budgeting process; Responsible for long range P&L budget planning in line with the company’s long-range planning cycle. Set annual goals for CICO.
Lead talent development strategy including recruitment program, job rotation, colleague retention and colleague engagement programs. Accountable for effective hiring, talent development, colleague engagement within GCE and India GRC to ensure the right skills, expertise for CICO is in place and the team is engaged and motivated. Build and deliver robust program to effectively onboard new hires, and also to ensure robust ongoing training to enable a job rotation program within CICO.
Represent CICO at executive forums and meetings, build relationships within AXP 1st, 2nd and 3rd LOD and obtain stakeholder collaboration. Showcase CICO’s achievements in GRC townhalls, executive meetings and other forums. Lead by example, create followership and uplift CICO’s brand to best in class in GRC India

Qualifications:

Academic Background:

Post Graduate degree from a recognized university (MBA/MA Economics/MBL/CA/CS/LLB/LLM)
Or combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field

Past Experience:

20+ years’ work experience of leading teams and servicing International stakeholders across multiple time zones
Foreign language skills would be an added advantage

Behavioral skills:

Demonstrated ability of successful leadership of large operational teams in a complex operating environment serving customers across many countries; familiarity with concepts such as inter-company agreements, SLAs, performance metric reporting, P&L charge-outs etc.
Strategic thinker with ability to execute; Strong customer focus; analytical; process expertise; ability to generate efficient and effective tech solutions to Compliance work-flows leveraging RPA, AI, ML etc.
Good understanding of compliance function; basic awareness of the role of regulators in the financial sector
Ability to work across cultures and time zones; demonstrated ability to create a strong team culture and brand that will attract, retain and grow top talent for CICO.
Self-motivated; operates a sense of purpose to deliver results; able to act independently using good business judgement.
Ability to articulate and convey complex, conceptual information to various audiences verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
