The Credit & Fraud Risk team helps drive profitable business growth by reducing the risk of fraud and maintaining our customers' confidence in the security of our products. It utilizes an array of tools and ever-evolving technology to detect and combat fraud, minimize the disruption of good spending and provide a world-class customer experience. Amex’s Risk Products & Data Strategy is at the core of delivering the outstanding customer experience while handling credit and fraud losses at lowest levels in the industry. With our mix of assets like closed-loop data, machine learning models, underwriting techniques on a modern technology stack we are re-imagining how payment experiences & risk management converge in a more modern, digital and connected world.
 The Business Logic Management within Risk Products & Data Strategy implements Strategies across Onboarding (Credit & Fraud), Customer Management & Authorization, in addition to managing the structured Risk Data from internal as well as external sources. This team is responsible for defining and driving the transformation and modernization of risk management products across risk technology platforms. Our teams have technical and communication skills that enable them to work with cross-functional teams in various domains across the company including Risk Strategy, Servicing, Product Management, Decision Sciences and Technology. We develop, and design logic used in risk management automation that is durable, scalable, easy to deploy and transparent to business strategy partners in real-time and batch environments.

Focus
 • Create business logic and the associated journeys used in risk products
 • Adhere to design and quality guidelines as defined by BLM and serve as a content expert in their respective usecases and journey.

Responsibilities:
 The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and Deploy Risk Products like Business Logic Management, Data Derivation/Ingestion, Data Quality and Business Intelligence.
  •   Work in a scrum team environment with Scrum Master, Product Owner and peers to develop and deploy logic
  •  Work on proprietary Cornerstone/Risk platforms using Big Data Tools and Framework including basic java & dot net
  • Correlate requirements to the impact of logic to cardmembers and perform unit and end-to-end testing
  • Contribute into evaluating and/or developing right tools, common components, and capabilities
  • Develops deep understanding of business logic, intent and long term objectives to align priorities and develop long life solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
  • Provides continuous support for ongoing application availability
  • Participate and contribute in scrum demo, grooming, and retrospectives

Academic Background:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Computer Science or related streams
  • Past Experience: 0-2 years relevant experience Preferred

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

  •  Understanding of Project Management
  • Advanced data manipulation techniques
  • Understanding of data/modelling/analytics

Technical Skills/Capabilities:

  • SQL
  • Basic Java & dot net
