Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst / RPG ILE Developer with proven experience in data analysis, data masking, and technical project support within an iSeries (AS/400) environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong development experience in RPG ILE, CL ILE, and SQL, along with hands-on expertise in data scrambling and privacy techniques for enterprise data warehouses.

This role involves analyzing data interfaces, supporting tool development, and implementing data scrambling strategies that ensure compliance, performance, and security across business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-depth data analysis, testing, and technical project support for enterprise data warehouse systems.

Design and implement data scrambling and masking strategies to ensure data privacy compliance.

Conduct feasibility assessments for data scrambling approaches (centralized vs. decentralized).

Analyze data upload interfaces and downstream processes within the iSeries-based Operational Data Warehouse (ODW) to inform scrambling logic.

Support the development of a new data scrambling tool, leveraging RPG ILE free format, CL ILE, and SQL.

Develop and optimize SQL scripts for base tables and data interface scrambling.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data transformations and ensure integration consistency.

Maintain comprehensive documentation using Confluence, and create system flow diagrams with Draw.io.

Understand and apply MIS environment and LPAR configuration best practices for optimal system utilization.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

7+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data masking/scrambling, and RPG ILE/CL ILE development.

Strong programming skills in RPG ILE (Free Format), CL ILE, and SQL.

Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse environments and interface management on iSeries (AS/400).

Proven understanding of data privacy, masking, and anonymization techniques.

Experience working with Confluence, Draw.io, and documentation of technical processes.

Good understanding of MIS environments, LPAR configurations, and data integration principles.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in ODW (Operational Data Warehouse) or ETL frameworks.

Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Exposure to automation scripts for data migration and validation.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
