Senior Mainframe Developer
Job Description
Combine interface design concepts with digital design and establish milestones to encourage cooperation and teamwork.
Develop overall concepts for improving the user experience within a business webpage or product ensuring all interactions are intuitive and convenient for customers.
Collaborate with backend web developers and programmers to improve usability.
Conduct thorough testing of user interfaces in multiple platforms to ensure all designs render correctly and systems function properly.Strong knowledge and experience of COBOL JCL CICS DB2 Stored procedures MQ and other mainframe technologies
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting
Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms z OS z VM zLinux IBM System z
Ability to define manage and administer IBM MQ Queues including local queues remote queues queue managers channels etc.,
Ability to install and upgrade MQ software including patch installation and configuration
Performance tuning of MQ queues
Ability to define MQ cluster load balancers for high availability and scalability
Ability to define and manage security and data encryption controls for MQ queues
Ability to install and manage certificates
Ability to collaborate with application development teams to come up with the MQ architecture and design to support scalable and available application development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Agile Experience and experience using tools like JIRA Confluence etc
Should have strong good grip on non-functional areas like performance security etc
