Job Description
Cybersecurity Engineer
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Level 1 Support Engineer with experience in
Web Application Firewall (WAF) management. This role involves handling day-to-day ticket
resolutions and ensuring smooth operation of cybersecurity tasks. The ideal candidate has a
solid understanding of basic networking principles and cybersecurity concepts, along with
some prior experience managing WAF technologies.
Key responsibilities:
Provide Level 1 support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving
tickets related to WAF and other cybersecurity tools.
Assist in the daily management and maintenance of security systems with a
proactive approach.
Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure WAF and security measures are
effectively protecting systems and applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance and implement security measures.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary
Required Qualifications:
Previous hands-on experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
Basic understanding of networking (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP protocols) and
cybersecurity fundamentals.
Experience with Imperva, AWS, or Azure is a plus but not required familiarity with
other WAF technologies is also acceptable.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and
development.
Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Basic knowledge of security practices and tools.
Previous experience in a support role, particularly in cybersecurity or IT operations.
