Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Murex MX Test engineer to join our team. A key responsibility is to ensure that the test ‘Pod’ functions as a team to deliver a high level of service to the project team, sharing expertise as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Management – liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders, negotiating resources, addressing dependencies and decision-making with the squad

• Coordinate and participate in testing activities for (complex) new functionality and coordinate implementation within the Murex and other systems

• Actively participate in the test planning of the client product delivery part of the agile team

• Design and execute test plans based on client requirements and acceptance criteria

• Build and maintain efficient and effective test suites by automating test scenarios following the testing standards and automation best practices

• Ensure test cases are well designed and documented in accordance with the test strategy - MXTest knowledge

• Analyze results of manual and automated tests by performing root cause analysis of encountered behaviours, following up on identified issues (regressions, bugs, impacts…) with corresponding peers (developers, business analysts) till resolutions

• Optimise the path to achieve quality, by continuously improving tests and processes efficiency

• Provide timely and accurate feedback to his team/project on progress of issues and tasks and escalate problems when necessary

• Share acquired expertise with peers through knowledge base, collaboration, training, and communities of practice

• Documentation written and delivered to the required standard

• Guide the client on automation best practices, including reviewing client packages, and suggesting further developments

Required skills

Product Knowledge / Experience

• 5 Year Murex Test management experience

• Test cycle management & coordination

• High level understanding of Murex intra-day and end of day batch processing

• Murex Datamart Reporting and Batch Processing Development

• Experience using XLRelease or other release management tooling

• Murex MX.3 Core Modules and System Architecture / Configuration

• Solid understanding of source code management, branching and merging strategies

Technical Skills

• MSL, OSP, Lookup tables

• MXRelease, MXConfig, MXTest,

• RDBMS: Oracle Enterprise

• OS: Linux

• Knowledge of and experience working in an international Financial Markets organisation

• Knowledge of Capital Markets and Treasury Front Office trade execution, capture and processing

• Broad knowledge of Financial Market Instruments and their P&L, Risk Management and Operational requirements

• Strong communication skills, proactive and open attitude;

• Strong ability to work independently in a Techno Functional environment;

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Very good Analytical Skills and problem-solving ability;
