About this Role

We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead and grow our engineering team at Fam. In this role, you will manage a team of engineers, ensuring they are aligned with our product vision and company goals. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality software, driving engineering initiatives, and scaling systems that power millions of transactions every day. If you are a people-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for building scalable fintech solutions, this role is for you.

On the Job

5-8 years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong background in building scalable, distributed systems.

Proven experience leading engineering teams, managing team dynamics, and mentoring engineers.

Strong coding skills in languages like Python or Go

Experience in managing engineering processes, including code reviews, sprint planning, and performance evaluations.

Strong understanding of cloud platforms (like AWS) and modern infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, pulumi etc.).

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align teams with business goals.

Must-haves (Min. qualifications)

Lead and manage a team of 6-8 engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Drive team performance through goal setting, regular feedback, and career development.

Oversee end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are on time, within scope, and meet high-quality standards.

Collaborate with product, Design and business teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer needs.

Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development process, driving improvements in productivity and performance.

Build a high-performing engineering culture, emphasising collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
