We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Director will help senior management and its individual business units manage the Firm's Tax risk by owning and driving forward the Operational Tax Control framework.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is an Director position within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you’ll do in the role:
An opportunity has arisen within Mumbai International Tax Operations Client Regulatory Services Tax team for a full-time Director to join the team to drive forward the CRS change and risk initiatives. The team manage the firm's Client Regulatory Services risk and Global reporting population along with related audit requirements; client processes including form validation and change in circumstances; account set-up for Client Regulatory Services purposes; implementation of Client Regulatory Services tax changes for processes owned by International Tax Operations and other departments.

The key responsibilities of the successful applicant will include supervisory oversight and risk management of the below functions and driving forward a multi-year change agenda:

- Risk management of complex Client Regulatory Services obligation across various global markets.

- Life-cycle management of Client Regulatory Services form management and data integrity to ensure in good order with tax authorities and analysis of market practice.

- Support of the risk framework, analysing Key Risk Indicators and impact of regulatory market updates.

- Coordination of Tax Authority audits or requests and reconciliation of required information such as reportable/non-reportable entities and accounts.

- Supporting the International Tax Operations Enhancement strategy to improve systemic tax processing.

- Control of processes outsourced to external vendor.

The successful applicant will also have people management responsibility as the team is built out in the location. This is not an exhaustive list and tasks and responsibilities may change to maintain our high levels of service.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Skills Required (Essential)
- Experience in supporting Client Regulatory Services processes
- Ability to drive forward change agenda
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to grasp detailed concepts quickly
- Awareness of tax concepts including Global Client Regulatory Services reporting obligations.
- Ability to provide clear supervisory oversight, and assume responsibility for escalation of risk items within the team.
- Transition and supervisory oversight of outsourced functions.
- Ability to lead and develop a team junior SMEs.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in assisting/testing on system developments/IT requirements.
- Inclination to automation
