Job Description

Mainframe Lead

We would like to hire a Mainframe developer for its sub-verticals (commercial lending, vendor finance, commercial real estate). The associate for this role will work closely with the onsite lead. This team has the potential to grow and the ideal person for this role should be a self-starter, demonstrate thought leadership in the performance testing space, have good communication and client management skill. Preferable to have this person based in Hyderabad and should be working from M&T ODC in Capital Building.

System Development & Maintenance: Develop, modify, and maintain mainframe-based applications, focusing on the ACAPS Loan Origination System (Direct and Indirect).
ACAPS Expertise: Use your deep knowledge of the ACAPS Loan Origination System to provide technical guidance and deliver high-quality solutions across the loan origination lifecycle (both direct consumer and dealer-originated loans).
Code Design & Implementation: Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable COBOL, JCL, and DB2 code for the mainframe environment. Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
System Integration: Collaborate with other development teams to ensure seamless integration between ACAPS and other backend and frontend systems, databases, and external services
Troubleshooting & Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely solutions while maintaining system stability and performance.
Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the ACAPS system and work to optimize processing speed and efficiency.
Production Support: Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting, ensuring minimal downtime for ACAPS systems.
Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation, including system architecture, code walkthroughs, and deployment processes.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in mainframe development and ACAPS systems, suggesting improvements and optimizations where applicable.

Mandatory skills:
ACAPS Loan Origination System
COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
MVS and z/OS mainframe environments.
Proficiency in DB2 and SQL
Experience in integrating mainframe applications with other backend systems, thirdparty APIs, and data sources
