Your Role

As a Mainframe Assembler Developer, you will work on complex system and application programming assignments using Assembly language, JCL, VSAM, HLASM macros, and REXX. You will collaborate with customer-facing teams to resolve issues, deliver high‑quality code, and contribute to continuous improvement across mainframe environments

In This Role, You Will

Design and develop solutions using core Assembly language and understand/modify ASM macros.
Analyze customer logs and dumps to identify and resolve issues.
Work closely with the L2 support team to understand customer-reported scenarios and provide proactive solutions.
Deliver high‑quality code for new development as well as fixes for customer issues.
Perform active debugging to identify the root cause of problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate progress and ensure timely closure of tasks.
Stay updated on z/OS mainframe technologies, tools, and best practices.
(Preferred) Work in Agile/Scrum methodology and contribute effectively in Agile ceremonies.
(Preferred) Utilize knowledge of C language, z/OS system macros, TLS, SSL, and related technologies.

Your Profile

5–9 years of experience in mainframe application/system programming.
Strong hands-on skills in Assembly language, JCL, VSAM, HLASM macros, and REXX.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues using logs and dumps.
Good collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional and customer-facing teams.
Experience in Agile environments is preferred.
Additional exposure to C, TLS/SSL, and z/OS system-level macros is a plus.
