Role Description and Key responsibilities:

Technical ownership for applications and platforms within the Finance and GSM Engineering organization in support of Finance Organization and Enterprise products.
Scope of technology platform primarily includes Oracle EBS. Scope also covers solutions built leveraging other COTS products, custom solutions across a variety of technology stacks including open source.
Driving engineering solutions to enhance existing capabilities, add new features, lead initiatives focused on modernization & transformation of platform, drive operational efficiency of platform to support transformation initiatives for Finance Month Close and cloud readiness roadmap.
Development and maintenance of several critical applications, service integrations, and capabilities supporting the portfolio.
Partnering with technical leaders across a broader American Express Technology ecosystem to design platform architecture and drive continuous improvements of new frameworks/patterns.
Ensuring availability and performance of platforms.
Supporting and transforming the portfolio into an Agile/Lean, SAFe enabled as required by product-centric organization.
Cultivating an environment of engineering culture.
Identifying and implementing strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce and engineering talent.
Leading software development teams and acting as an escalation point to remove impediments.
Engaging in solution design and ensuring alignment of strategy, architecture, tools/methods with software engineers and architects to execute product roadmaps.
Manage relationship with product owners, technology colleagues and other business stakeholders globally.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.Tech. / B.E. / M. Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
10+ years of experience in design and development of highly scalable applications and platform development.
You will work with the multiple teams and guide them on technical aspects, set quality standards and participate in design discussion and drive technical decisions.
Architecture, Design Reviews & Code Reviews across teams.
Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
Extensive hands-on experience on Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud Platforms specifically Finance Applications.
Strong technical knowledge of Oracle Development tools - PL/SQL, OAF, Reports, Oracle workflow, REST API.
In depth knowledge and Hands-on working experience on Restful web services.
Deep knowledge on Oracle Fusion Cloud and experience in Implementation of Large-scale transformations.
Working experience in ETL, Informatica, Unix shell scripting.
Knowledge of Collaboration Tools (GitHub, Confluence, Rally).
Knowledge on unit testing frameworks (Junit, Jest, Spock etc) and code quality control platforms like Sonar.
CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly with a will to learn new and emerging technologies.
Hosted & Participated in architecture Review & Design/Code Review events.
Hands on System Designing experience, design patterns and anti-patterns.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
Have excellent written and verbal communications skills Create and deliver effective presentations to Senior Leadership.
Experience In Working On Multi-Vendor Projects And Ability To coordinate during issue resolution and Standardization of Application Integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Oracle EBS 12.2.
Oracle Financials including Procure to Pay, Fixed Assets, Projects, or General Ledger.
Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud.
