Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer with 10+ years of IT experience to join our Mainframe Modernization and AWS Migration program. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS Blu Age for application modernization, along with in-depth knowledge of AWS services and Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms for real-time data migration. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on development, and the ability to work across teams to ensure smooth, efficient migration to AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute application modernization using AWS Blu Age.
Implement real-time data replication and synchronization using Change Data Capture (CDC) tools and AWS services.
Drive migration and replatforming efforts from mainframe applications into AWS cloud-native architectures.
Collaborate with solution architects, database engineers, and stakeholders to align modernization solutions with business goals.
Build and optimize data pipelines for seamless migration and ongoing synchronization.
Troubleshoot complex issues during modernization and data replication, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices in migration and CDC strategies.
Document migration approaches, CDC implementations, and share knowledge with broader teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on application modernization and cloud migrations.
Hands-on experience with AWS Blu Age (AWS Blu Age certification preferred).
Strong knowledge of AWS services including RDS, Aurora, DMS, SCT, Lambda, and S3.
Proven experience implementing CDC (Change Data Capture) for real-time data replication and migration.
Solid skills in SQL, database design, and performance tuning.
Experience with legacy modernization methodologies and code transformation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global teams.
Preferred Skills
AWS Solutions Architect or Database Specialty Certification.
Experience with AWS DMS (CDC mode), Kafka, Debezium, or equivalent CDC frameworks.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Prior experience in large-scale enterprise modernization projects.
