Job Description

Title: Analyst - Direct Purchasing (Power BI)Location: Bangalore – Electronic City PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:This position is charged with eliminating shortages, achieving service level and inventory-on-hand goals to support all areas in Planning, Packaging supplies and product transfer. Plan and execute strategies to develop operational growth. Develop, test and execute models for scheduling operations. Lead and/or assist process improvement initiatives. Support Global planning projects on a country, regional or global level. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Update and revise plans for changes in lead times, order quantities, service level and sourcing locations.Form teams to identify causes and possible solutions to the overstock.Develop and lead the PDSA process on overstocks.Apply business development strategies.Develop a supply chain business model.Evaluate deployment of supply inventory to subsidiaries and adjust/transfer material accordingly.Analyze overstocks and work with Procurement/Distribution/Packaging/ Production to reduce it.Develop/map business processes within SAP for current processes.Develop queries and reports to actively identify errors in Master Data tables and trouble shoot.Develop SAP/ Access database reports that measure performance and to help identify opportunities for improvement. Create operational schedules based upon throughput and service that meet local and company goals and objectives.Expedite materials to eliminate operational disruptions.Work closely with Packaging/Production/Procurement/ Pkg Engineering /Distribution to ensure supply availability. Create working SAP documents that address ordering, selection, transfer and shipping of supplies Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedules.Must develop excellent understanding of complex processes from beginning to end and all steps in detail in order to perform trouble shooting and process improvement effectively. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's degree in business, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related field or 2-5 years equivalent inventory control/scheduling experience.Certification from APICS or related a plus. Experience:2-4 years’ experience in moving materials through the product delivery cycle, 2-4 years’ experience in supply chain, forecasting or planning/scheduling. Essential and Critical Skills:SAP, Oracle, Excel, Database (MS-Access etc) knowledge and good knowledge on PowerBI. Business development skills and analytical skills are imperative. Good judgment, self-motivation, ISO standards (in relation to preparing documents), basic scheduling techniques and material requirements planning knowledge.
