What you need to know about the role:- As the Data Governance Services Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing data governance products and services and driving their implementation and adoption and across the company.
You will guide and run daily product management support, interacting with engineering and business stakeholders and data stewards, across Business Units, supporting advancement, adoption, and data governance maturity.
This position will require a significant amount of collaboration across all business functions within PayPal Core, its adjacencies, Information Security and Privacy.

Job Description:

Your way to impact PayPal is actively seeking a dynamic senior leader for a pivotal role as the Enterprise Customer Domain Steward. This newly established position reports directly to the Senior Director of Data Governance and will be instrumental to the modernization and development of our Customer Master Data Management, focusing on the newly formed Enterprise Customer Domain.

As the Data Governance Services Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing data governance products and services and driving their implementation and adoption and across the company. You will guide and run daily product management support, interacting with engineering and business stakeholders and data stewards, across Business Units, supporting advancement, adoption, and data governance maturity. This position will require a significant amount of collaboration across all business functions within PayPal Core, its adjacencies, Information Security and Privacy.

Your day to day :

Define, own, and execute the product roadmap for Data Governance products that aligns with business goals and customer needs
Lead a team in designing and delivering scalable and sustainable product solutions to enable best in class data governance execution for PayPal.
Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept to launch, with an obsession for excellence, customer satisfaction and establishing PayPal’s data governance as best in class and industry leader
Support the organization in defining framework for ensuring automated and scalable processes exist for managing and governing data for use and reporting across PayPal.
Operate as a change agent across PayPal, guiding and directing various data governance & data management activities, focusing on advancing the maturity of data management within the company.
Ideate and devise governance solutions and processes that currently do not exist and enhance existing once to bring into alignment with industry leading practices.
Help in designing and incorporating advanced technologies to measure and report performance against data governance KPIs and KRIs
Create impactful and substantive relationships across the company and ensure business and technology partners are aligned to the data strategy.
Educate and train business and technical data stakeholders across all business areas to understand PayPal’s Data Governance strategy, framework, policy, procedures, practices, and tools.
Inspire, collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization with your product vision and customer Obsession
Work with a wide variety of business partners, engineering and compliance teams to define and implement the strategy for governance products and services to scale these products globally
 Collaborate with Engineering, Design and other teams to prioritize and deliver high quality features for data governance products and services
Constantly review existing governance processes, practices, and products to identify and implement opportunities for automation, adoption, and business value achievement.

What do you need to bring :

10+ years of industry experience with at least 8 years in product management
Strong communication skills with a proven ability to work across multiple organizations to accomplish diverse goals.
Must have a high degree of expertise in data management-understanding of how all facets of data management are integrated to provide best value.
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical development teams.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Experience in Fintech, payments, e-commerce, financial services industry, or similar is preferred. Prior experience with Lending Products is a plus

Proven experience in a data stewardship or governance role, focusing on customer data.
In-depth understanding of data management, data governance principles, and regulatory landscape impacting data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels.
Familiarity with systems thinking, analytics and experiment design, basic software development concepts and data management technologies.
Able to see the “big picture”-the end-to-end connection points associated with data and systems.

Competitive drive to establish PayPal’s data management and governance as industry leading practice
Industry certifications in data management or related fields are a plus.

Education:

BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field
