Job Description Summary:

PayPal P2P(peer to peer) team is responsible for triggering various initiatives for PayPal across worldwide with focus on agility, time to market and innovation. This team helps to roll out new features around PayPal’s P2P portfolio across the world and has embarked upon some new and exciting opportunities. As a member of this team, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers and Engineers (3-in-a-box model) to create innovative solutions for our customers. & you’ll play an important role in product development from concept to launch.
The Role: The role is for engineering leader/manager, working on building futuristic and delightful p2p (peer to peer) features and experiences for PayPal's diverse customer base spread across multiple countries.
As an engineering manager/leader, you will influence the customer experience for PayPal customers in 200+ countries. We are looking for someone who is motivated, versatile, and hands-on as you are responsible for leading and developing a team of skilled engineers, helping with design, implementation and delivering state of the art web experiences.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Owns delivery of a scrum team and contributes to delivery of p2p roadmap items. Learning to be strategic but is largely responsible for goals with a defined strategy
Establishes engineering plans (i.e., sprint plans) and procedures, and directly decides allocation of resourcing within a scrum team
Partner with Niab (Product, PMO) to deliver high-quality solutions on time
Work closely with the architects, engineering leaders and the engineering team to deliver solutions for the customers.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in managing and growing engineering teams that are responsible for large scale & high-volume customer impacting products.
Familiarity with one or more tech languages (e.g Java), frameworks, architectures including mobile, front-end, back-end, full-stack development, test frameworks.
Knowledge of software development practices, market trends and emerging technologies enabling team members to resolve technical issues of broad domain impact
Experience building and managing highly effective engineering teams, conducting performance reviews, making compensation decisions, and recruiting talent.
Ability to partner with business units, product management, program management and cross-functional teams to deliver business results with agility and high quality.
BS/MS in Computer Science with 10+ years of working experience.
