The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and people management. This is a critical role that requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative skills to drive the financial success of our business units.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings knowledge of <strong>IFRS</strong>, experience working with <strong>Big-4 audit firms</strong>, and a strong background in <strong>general ledger controllership</strong> and <strong>process optimization</strong>, especially related to <strong>POS device management and control enhancements</strong>.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <h4><strong>Financial Leadership & Controllership</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Serve as the <strong>General Ledger (GL) Controller</strong> for the <strong>Point-of-Sale (POS) business</strong>, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of all financial records and reports.</li> <li>Act as the <strong>Finance Controller for the Digital Bills business</strong>, overseeing all areas of finance, including business team collaboration and strategic financial planning.</li> <li>Lead and manage the entire <strong>month-end and year-end close processes</strong>, ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and internal policies.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>POS Device Management & Control Improvement</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Oversee financial management and tracking of <strong>POS devices</strong>, including reconciliation, asset tracking, and loss prevention.</li> <li>Design and implement <strong>control improvements</strong> around POS inventory, deployment, and maintenance.</li> <li>Drive initiatives to <strong>automate and streamline control processes</strong> for operational efficiency.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Operational & Strategic Finance</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Manage and optimize <strong>working capital</strong>, including cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable, and inventory management.</li> <li>Oversee the <strong>Accounts Payable function</strong>, ensuring timely and accurate payments and compliance with all related statutory regulations.</li> <li>Manage all company <strong>bank account balances</strong>, including reconciliation.</li> <li>Lead and execute critical finance projects, such as accounting for <strong>mergers & acquisitions</strong>, <strong>system migrations</strong>, and other key business initiatives.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Audit & Compliance</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary lead for all <strong>statutory audits, internal audits, and other external reviews</strong> for the POS & Bill-Me books.</li> <li>Ensure strict adherence to all <strong>statutory compliances</strong> related to finance, accounts payable, and other relevant areas.</li> <li>Maintain a comprehensive understanding of <strong>financial regulations and reporting requirements</strong>, ensuring the company's full compliance.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Team & People Management</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a <strong>high-performing team of 5-6 finance professionals</strong>.</li> <li>Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the team.</li> <li>Manage performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development for all direct reports.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Collaborate closely with <strong>business unit leaders</strong> and other department heads to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and achieve business objectives.</li> <li>Partner with <strong>technology teams</strong> on system enhancements and data integrity, particularly with knowledge of <strong>SAP HANA</strong>.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Chartered Accountant (CA)</strong> with <strong>8 or more years</strong> of post qualification work experience in finance and accounting.</li> <li>Proven experience in a <strong>controllership or similar senior finance leadership role</strong>, with a strong emphasis on core finance.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of <strong>International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)</strong> is highly desirable.</li> <li>Experience in the <strong>fintech sector</strong> is a significant plus.</li> <li>Proven <strong>people management experience</strong>, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.</li> </ul> <p>Strong <strong>technical accounting skills</strong> with a comprehensive understanding of GL operations, month-end close, and financial reporting.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="gmail_default"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
