Job Description

Position Overview: The SAP Architect will design and provide solutions for leading Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. This role is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art services and solutions, including implementing system enhancements that adhere to established processes and meet customer requirements. The Architect will collaborate with business-facing organizations and teams to understand their needs and design effective solutions.Key Responsibilities:Solution Design: Deliver customer satisfaction through effective solution design, application lifecycle management, and service performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations (e.g., GxP, GDPR).Business Integration: Lead interactions with business partners and process architects to develop suitable and sustainable solutions that meet customer demand.Operational Vendor Management:Manage vendor performance against defined processes.Develop vendor service improvement plans based on identified gaps.Provide timely input for periodic performance reports and annual service reviews.Change and Release Management:Document current and target application architecture, including the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).Monitor lifecycle management plans for applications in scope.Ensure adherence to Change Management processes in line with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Create complete and accurate handover documents prior to production releases.Project Delivery (Optional):Secure team member appointments and oversee the delivery of technical designs for applications/solutions in the portfolio.Maintain development standards and guidelines.Incident Management (Optional):Lead the resolution of critical or complex incidents, including crisis management as needed.Coordinate communication with relevant stakeholders (infrastructure, GIAM team, business key users, etc.).Problem Management (Optional):Develop a master plan to prioritize ticket elimination and automation.Proactively suggest solutions and propose action plans for improvement to management.Qualifications:Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and/or Business Administration.Experience:12 years of experience in software or application services.6 years of experience in an international environment.Language Requirements:English: Mandatory (written and spoken).Additional Language: Proficiency in German, Spanish, or Portuguese is an asset.Skills & Competencies:Management experience in an international environment.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Excellent written and oral communication abilities.Willingness to travel.Ability to make difficult decisions and act autonomously.Integration skills for SAP SD/LE functionalities.Expert knowledge in Sales & Distribution, Warehouse Management, EDI, IDocs, and Output Determination.Good knowledge of Transport Management and surrounding modules (MM-PUR, MM-IM, FI, CO, GTS).Basic knowledge of ABAP development, exits, debugging, and archiving.Optional IT Process Roles:Operational Vendor Management & ReportingChange and Release ManagementProject Delivery and Service IntroductionApplication Lifecycle ManagementDisaster Recovery Planning and TestingInformation Security (Patch Management, Information Classification)Operational Compliance (DP, GxP, License Management, Training)Incident ManagementProblem ManagementConclusion: This position is crucial for integrating O2C processes with ERP systems and ensuring the smooth operation of business functions, requiring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills.
