You will play a critical role in guiding the technical direction, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to create exceptional user experiences and drive the continuous improvement of our frontend development processes. Roles and Responsibilities: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of frontend developers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages individual growth and team cohesion.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring the use of best practices, coding standards, and the adoption of the latest frontend technologies.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of frontend projects, collaborating closely with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Quality Assurance: Ensure the team consistently produces high-quality code and applications by conducting code reviews, promoting automated testing, and implementing continuous integration and deployment processes.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities to ensure our web applications are fast, efficient, and scalable.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">User Experience: Collaborate with designers and product managers to create intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces that align with user needs and business objectives.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Innovation and Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, frontend technologies, and best practices, and drive innovation within the team to enhance development processes and user experiences.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineering teams, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end delivery of features and projects.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Issue Resolution: Act as an escalation point for resolving technical issues and challenges, providing hands-on support to the team when necessary.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement to enhance the overall effectiveness of the frontend team.</li> </ul> Mandatory Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">10+ years of proven experience in frontend development, including expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">2+ years of previous experience in a leadership or management role, guiding and motivating a team of frontend developers.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion while meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with performance optimization, code review processes, and automated testing.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">A passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and driving continuous improvement in frontend development processes.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.</li> </ul> Good to have: We also expect the following, but we accept that you can be an absolutely great developer without fulfilling the below.
