Job Description

Oversee a team of 4-5 engineers, fostering their development through mentorship and by seeking avenues for their advancement.
Ensure the successful execution and high quality of deliverables in their domain.
Write product or system Android development code (Kotlin/Java) to build Wear OS Media services, developer APIs and Apps like Wear Media remote service, Media Playback, Cast Integration.
Provide comprehensive reviews of team members' code and design, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
Create APIs and services for specific app verticals, e.g., Media, to improve the product experience and reduce the cost to developers of building apps for Wear OS.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience with Android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
4 years of experience in software development.
Experience with high-quality Android apps.
Experience building and maintaining APIs.
Ability to learn new skills and develop additional experience.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on their own and lead projects.
