Python Dev Lead - Vice President - Software Production Management & Reliability Engineering
We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Vice President) Development architect to help oversee the development activities across Platform engineering team. Streamline tasks that can be automated and have a larger support window for the production systems. Position requiring higher-level skills and experience to handle complex tasks and challenges. The position demands advanced technical knowledge and specialized skills, like Design, Architectural experience, Product development ( Python, UX), cloud, devops and SRE skills.

Software Production Management & Reliability Engineering
This is Vice President position that oversees the production environment, ensuring the operational reliability of deployed software, and implements strategies to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

What you’ll do in the role:
Application Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Python-based applications and services.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
System Architecture:
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design robust system architectures that meet business requirements.
Ensure scalability, security, and performance in all solutions.
Code Reviews and Mentorship:
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to standards.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering technical growth within the team.
Integration and Automation:
Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with third-party systems.
Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to improve efficiency.
Testing and Debugging:
Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with product managers, DevOps, and other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest Python frameworks, libraries, and tools.
Propose and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.
Data Handling and Analysis:
Work with large datasets, ensuring efficient data processing and storage.
Implement data pipelines and ETL processes as needed.
What you’ll bring to the role:
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
10-15 years of professional experience in Python development.
Proficiency with Python and libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn, pandas, deep-learning.
Expertise in Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular) is a plus.
Strong networking background - IP, Firewalls, Proxy, Routing, Load Balancing, OSI Model, Packet trace and analysis, etc.)
Good understanding of the protocols underpinning the web - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS etc. (Ideal candidate would be able to intelligently dissect all 7 layers of the OSI stack) and troubleshoot.
Hands on experience in understanding different data sets generated from various cybersecurity products/ services/ SIEM tools
Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture
Experience in architecture, design, and implementation of data intensive applications for practical use-cases
Practical knowledge of deep learning implementation in at least one of the areas Cyber, NLP, Image Processing
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
Expertise in visualizing large datasets in an efficient manner
Ability to work in fast paced and dynamic environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of ownership and accountability of deliverables
