Job Description

Reporting to Head of Sourcing Science & Lab Solutions Regional team APAC who is based in Shanghai, China within Sourcing Life Science organization, you will manage 3rd party spend for Science & Lab Solutions business in APAC region in close alignment with global category strategies. The scope of responsibility includes Raw Materials, Semi Finished, Finished Goods and services required for the regional market in the Science & Lab Solutions business.In this role, you will be expected to drive the development of materials in the APAC region by supporting and executing global category strategies, develop the local/regional sourcing strategies in close alignment with the internal stakeholders' requirements and demand.Additionally, you’ll also manage a defined Chemicals & Biologics portfolio for sites in EMEA and/or US, where synergy is available with APAC. ：Analyze demand, identify internal & supply market optimization potential to develop, align and execute sourcing strategies & initiatives.Support, coordinate and execute local/regional sourcing initiatives to meet saving, supply security, working capital & sustainability targets with regional focus in APACSupport, execute and lead cross functional and regional projects to meet project timeline, and identify synergy with existing spend.Define and implement efficiency and value-added processes.Drive supplier management activities such as negotiations and contracting, supplier qualification, sustainability review, supplier business reviews and evaluations.Support and provide market intelligence requests from Global Categories teams & stakeholdersFollow-up on local market and EHS developments, leverage knowledge and share it with the global team.Establish and manage network to internal stakeholders.Travel requirements up to approx.20% of time Who you are:B.S. is required, advanced degree, M.S. or MBA, preferred8-13 years of sourcing experience on raw material/service markets in relevant industries, with professional negotiation and sourcing skillsKnowledgeable about Chemical and Biologics market Ability to successfully manage projects with local/regional/global scope and impactProfessional communication and presentation skills to interface between internal stakeholders and suppliersExperience in a regional/global team with excellent teamwork spirit across multiple-functions and diversified culturesStrong resilience and persistence in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environmentFluency in English, Hindi and Kannada requiredFamiliar with MS-Office, MRP system, Ariba, data analysis tool
